Meet SASD’s new cowboy-lobbyist

School Administrators of South Dakota has a new executive director, Rob Monson, who used to be Parkston’s elementary principal.

He replaces John Pedersen, who angered members last session when he spoke as a proponent of HB1234, Gov. Daugaard’s education reform bill. I hear Pedersen since has found a different school lobbying job.

You can tell Monson is East River because he doesn’t own a real cowboy hat.
